Food was great, server was kind, definitely recommend! Clean enough inside, could use a deep clean, but overall it was awesome value.

I had such a great time here! Make reservations before going and see if there is indoor availability. That's where the cute decorations and DJ is located. We had a table outside and wished we would have been inside. Service was great! The waiter was very attentive and made great recommendations. The food was tasty and served a lot. I had the steak which came with rice and beans and ended with dessert. I normally don't get dessert but had to try the churro with ice cream. So good!

The vibe here is so much fun with Frida Kahlo murals everywhere. We enjoyed our meal on the screened in patio. Little noisy with Pineville Matthews road right in front but not bad. The shrimp baja salad and flan were very good. And our waiter, Tony, did a great job.

Totally fun, authentic, and great options for the entire family. The service was outstanding. They knew their menu forwards and backwards. The recommendations were spot on for all who asked. The menu has many options that are standard, but also many that are right up my alley. I got the grilled octopus. It was an entire octopus! It was fun to eat and tasted great. Some at the table got the standard fair that you'd expect, like a burrito. Overall it was great and the setting was fun. There are many pictures of Frida and that made me want to know more about her, a Mexican painter known for her many portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico. Inspired by the country's popular culture, she employed a naïve folk art style to explore questions of identity, postcolonialism, gender, class, and race in Mexican society.

Oh my goodness they have the absolute best Arroz con Pollo I have ever had in my life because it includes chicken, cheese, onions, AND green peppers. Most places only do a few of those items, but I love that Frida's takes it to the next level including all of them. I absolutely ADORE the aesthetic that Frida's has and the entire restaurant has little quirky tributes all over the place. I spent a majority of my time taking it all in and enjoying the decorum. Our waiter was all right, but I would have liked to have him visit us more. The drinks are also a bit expensive for what you're getting since Monterrey is right around the corner from Frida's and you can get very similar food with much cheaper drinks.

Our group of 6 ladies dined at Frida's to celebrate a birthday. I was nervous to make this recommendation as we all have high standards for Mexican food. End of the night, we all LOVED the food, atmosphere, and service. But there is some room for improvement. Ambiance: High point! The décor was modern yet authentic. Loved the nod to Frida throughout the restaurant, and touches of detail EVERYWHERE! And wow, they were BUSY! I would recommend making a reservation. Food: YUM! And so fresh! We started with the guacamole. Pricey at $19, but all enjoyed. The pork belly was a nice touch. But I would suggest a more classic option at a lower price. Entrees, we each ordered something different. I ordered the fajitas fridas minus the rice/beans. Delicious and cooked perfectly. Though the scallops were so mini and included only maybe 3, so I would suggest just not to include. The eye-opener on the table was the red snapper. HUGE portion (whole fish) and my friend raved over the taste along with their made in-house sauce. Great value for $22! Other favorites were the enchiladas and the carne asada. Drinks: While super fresh (no artificial mixers), they did short us all on the booze. We mostly ordered margaritas and Palomas. Service: Very attentive, friendly, and never felt rushed even when we asked a lot of questions. We had a delay in one entrée, but they continued to check in and it felt like everyone on staff joined forces where needed. Since we were there celebrating a birthday, the server said they had something special for our guest of honor, which turned out to be a charro cart. OMG DELICIOUS! Maybe the most memorable thing of the night. However, we were shocked to see the $25 charge for this charro cart on our bill. First off, we didn't ask for this specifically. Second, it included maybe 5-6 churros and dipping sauce. How was this the most expensive thing on the menu??? But not on the menu... All in all, we had a wonderful experience and will return for the entrees and skip with app/drinks...and just order a side of churros for dessert :)
